We all know that bullying goes on in and out of school, and parents, carers, teachers and other professionals have a duty to take action if they suspect or discover that child(ren) are being bullied.
Bullying includes:
- People calling you names
- Making things up to get you into trouble
- Hitting, pinching, biting, pushing and shoving
- Taking things away from you
- Damaging your belongings
- Stealing your money
- Taking your friends away from you
- ’Cyberbullying’
- Spreading rumours
- Threats and intimidation
- Making silent or abusive phone calls
- Bullies can also frighten you so that you don’t want to go to school, so that you pretend to be ill to avoid them

Space Youth Project [6] – Space Youth Project runs regular youth groups all across Dorset, in Bournemouth, Poole, Dorchester, Weymouth, and Sherborne, for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning young people.
As well as offering one-to-one support and family support they also offer school-based workshops and training for professionals.
Young Rainbows [7] is a sexual health project for young lesbian, gay and bisexual people in and around Dorset who may be experiencing issues with their sexuality, gender or sexual behaviours or who may be seeking information and support regarding their sexual health in general.
