The Dorset multi-agency resolution and escalation procedure for work with children, young people and families has been revised and updated and is now available to access here. Please take some to review this. The procedure sets out the core principles for managing inter-agency professional differences of opinion in the best interest of the child, young person and family you are working with. It highlights, in our strengths-based way of working, ways which differences of opinion or professional disagreement can be resolved at the earliest possible opportunity. It does also provide the procedure that should be followed where matters do require escalating through the management structure.

It also sets out a procedure for informing the Partnership of a compliment that you would like shared with a fellow professional regarding work that has taken place with a child, young person or family.
